About Oral Surgery
Dr. Ma and our office team are committed to making sure your oral surgery experience is comfortable.
When periodontal disease has affected your mouth, your jawbone might have become too weak to support the dental implant you need. In cases like this, Dr. Ma will often recommend bone grafting (also known as natural bone regeneration) to promote healthy bone growth and thicken your jawbone. Over time, your jawbone will naturally regenerate and become strong enough to support a dental implant.
Pinhole Gum Therapy
Receding gums can weaken your teeth, cause root damage and even lead to tooth loss. Through Pinhole® Gum Rejuvenation, receding gums are stabilized without cutting, grafting and stitches. This minimally invasive procedure can restore years to your smile and improve your overall health. Dr. William Ma is a certified Pinhole® Surgical Technique provider, as is our dental hygienist!
When a tooth is too badly decayed to save, Dr. Ma will perform an extraction. An extraction may also be needed if the tooth is severely fractured, or is crowding other healthy teeth.
Dr. Ma does not have to refer you out to place your dental implants. We can do complete your surgery right here in our office. We also offer Teeth In a Day dental implants, 4 implants that support a snap-on denture.
If you suffer from dental anxiety, Dr. Ma may recommend oral sedation dentistry, such as a Valium or Xanax pill, prior to your visit.
